In order to ensure an efficient handling of the process for UK reSIdents The Munlch Foreigners' Office is fully prepared for ali possibie eventualities. What does a no-deal mean for you? In a no-deal scenario, you will need a residency title for Germany. There will be a transition period of 3 months, starting on 13" April 2019. During this transition period you can continue working and living in Germany as before. However, you will have to make an appointment with the Foreigners' Office from 15" April 2019 onwards. During the appointment, we will discuss which residency title you are eligible for. Also, you will receive a certificate, which proves that you can work in Germany and that you are a legitimate resident. In this case, please check the latest status via our homepage. What does Brexit mean for your UK driving licence? In the event of a no-deal scenario your UK driving licence may no longer be valid in Germany as of 13" April 2019. If you hold a UK driving licence, you should apply for an exchange to a German driving licence before 13" April 2019 at the Fahrerlaubnisbehorde Garmischer StraRe 19/21 81373 Miinchen Please arrange an appointment online or via telephone number 233-96090. In the event that an appointment is no longer bookable before 13" April 2019, you can also submit a completed application per post or in person at the Fahrerlaubnisbehrde within the deadline.
